UTI (Men)

Simple UTI or Acute Cystitis

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) is an infection of the bladder or lower urinary tract. Symptoms of UTI consist of burning urination, urinary frequency or urgency, and abdominal pain.

Signs and Symptoms of UTI

• Burning feeling during urination

• Frequent urination or intense urge to urinate

• Pain or discomfort in the lower stomach or abdomen or lower back

• Cloudy, dark, bloody, or strange-smelling urine

Complicated UTI

Men with the following conditions are considered complicated: Fever, vomiting, chills, recurrent UTIs, pyelonephritis, history of kidney disease, auto-immune disease

Treatment

Callondoc recommends antibiotic treatment for patients experiencing UTI symptoms. We do not treat men with complicated UTIs
